As these are not cutting edges, we tend to rinse them after use and store them without more maintenance. This is a mistake, because over time the working edges wear out and become less effective, just like any other cutting tool

Sharpening their edges and tips can be done by just using a file, so it really would be a pity not to bother. The only effort required is to make yourself do it regularly !

Other tips for maintaining tools for tilling the soil

• Brush the metal parts to remover soil residues
• Coat tips and edges with grease
• Tighten screws for fitting
• If the handle is too worn out, remember to change it

Avoid using a grinder for your digging tools

We do not recommend using a grinder which requires training and wearing of the individual protection indicated in the instruction manual of the machine.
